Best for
A Vue 3 developer who already has a backend API and wants a free, MIT-licensed admin frontend that comes with menu and button permissions.

An MIT-licensed admin dashboard frontend on Vue 3.5, Vite 7, Naive UI 2.45, TypeScript 5.9 and Pinia. It comes with route permissions in two modes (routes fixed in the frontend, or menus served by a backend), permissions down to individual buttons, a Chinese/English switch for the menus and app shell (the demo pages themselves stay in Chinese), ECharts charts, a rich-text editor, drag-and-drop, and a mock data layer. There is no backend, no real auth, no database and no payments, so you supply your own API. It suits Vue teams building internal tools or back-office panels, not founders looking for a complete SaaS starter.

Pros

  • Current stack: the 3.0.0 release on 2026-10-21 upgraded Vite 5.4 to 7.3, TypeScript 4.9 to 5.9 and ECharts 5 to 6, and moved to the latest Vue 3.5 patch. The last commit was on that same day.
  • Permissions are handled at both levels: routes can be fixed in the frontend or driven by menus from your backend, and individual buttons can be gated too, which is the part most admin panels need first.
  • MIT license with commercial use allowed, about 5,900 GitHub stars, and public releases going back to 2021.
  • strict: true is set in tsconfig, though noImplicitAny and strictFunctionTypes are switched off. ESLint, Prettier, Stylelint, commitlint and Husky are set up, and a GitHub Actions workflow (added in 3.0.0) runs type-check, lint, build and a bundle-size budget on every push.

Cons

  • The production environment file turns mock data on by default (VITE_USE_MOCK=true in .env.production). If you forget to switch it off, a production build ships fake data and the mock libraries with it.
  • There is no test directory anywhere in the repo, so any test coverage is yours to add.
  • One person does almost all the work: as of Oct 2026 jekip has 220 commits and the next contributor has 8. If the maintainer stops, updates stop.
  • The README and changelog are in Chinese, and the 3.0.0 release (Oct 2026) included breaking changes. Upgrading from 2.x means reading Chinese release notes. The README also promotes a separate paid, closed-source product line that shares no code with this repo.
