Skip if: You want to read the code before paying, or need a proven support and community track record - the repos are private and independent discussion of it is nearly nonexistent.

## Description

MkSaaS is a paid Next.js starter built on React 19, Drizzle ORM, Better Auth and shadcn/ui, sold as a single $139 lifetime license with no free tier. Beyond the usual auth-plus-billing baseline it ships AI text, image and chat demos on the Vercel AI SDK, a credits and API-key system, an admin dashboard, i18n via next-intl, a newsletter, and blog/docs pages through Fumadocs. Payments can run through Stripe, Creem or Waffo rather than a single hardcoded provider. The code lives in private repositories released after purchase, so nothing about its internals can be checked before you pay.

## Pros and cons

+ Unusually wide bundle for the price: AI text/image/chat, credits and API keys, admin dashboard, i18n, newsletter, blog and docs are all included rather than sold as add-ons or left to you

+ Three payment integrations (Stripe, Creem, Waffo) instead of one, which matters if Stripe won't onboard you in your country or you want to switch processors later

+ The advertised stack is current as of this review (Aug 2026) — Next.js 16 and React 19 — rather than a kit coasting on an older major version

+ $139 one-time with unlimited end products and client work permitted under the license, so agencies can amortize it across projects

- Everything is private until you pay. There's no public repository — the MkSaaSHQ GitHub org exists but publishes zero repos — so code quality, test coverage and commit cadence are all unverifiable before purchase. The docs describe bundled claude.md, agents.md and .cursor/rules files for AI coding assistants, but you cannot inspect them until you have paid.

- The vendor's own materials disagree with each other: $139 at checkout versus $159 in the machine-readable pricing.md feed, and 5 included repositories in the docs versus '7+' on the pricing page. Small things, but they're the details you'd want a starter kit's maintainer to be precise about.

- Almost no organic community. We found no Reddit threads, Hacker News discussion or Product Hunt page for it — just comparison-style listing sites. That cuts both ways: no complaints surfaced, but there's also nobody to ask when you get stuck, and no track record on how support requests are handled.

- It's a solo operation. MkSaaS's own site never names its maker (only tracing a sister product's about page identifies Fox, who also runs TanStarter, Mkdirs, MkImage and MkExt), and support runs through a shared email and Discord rather than a dedicated team. For a proprietary product, future updates depend on one person continuing to ship across several products at once.
